What is this retreat about?
This is a 12-day sacred pilgrimage through the heart of Peru—Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and
Machu Picchu—guided by modern medicine woman Beáta Alföldi. The journey blends ceremony,
shamanic practice, ancient wisdom, and adventure across Peru’s most iconic spiritual landscapes.
Who is this retreat for?
It’s for spiritual seekers, creatives, and those drawn to transformation, ceremony, and connection
with Andean wisdom. Whether it’s your first visit to Peru or a long-awaited return, all are
welcome.
How many people will be in the group?
Up to 30 participants. This allows for an intimate, supported group experience.

What are the retreat dates?
Friday 9 October – Tuesday 20 October 2026
Where does the retreat start and end?
The retreat begins and ends in Cusco, Peru.
Do I need to book my own flights?
Yes. Flights to and from Peru are not included. Once your place is confirmed, you’ll receive detailed
travel advice and arrival instructions.
What is the altitude like?
Cusco is at approximately 3,400m above sea level. You’ll have time to rest and acclimatise upon
arrival before activities begin
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance (including medical and cancellation cover) is required.
ACCOMMODATION & MEALS
Where will we stay?
Cusco: Casa Andina Premium Hotel (historic centre)
Sacred Valley: Raíces Inkas Retreat Centre – a sanctuary with temple spaces, gardens,
waterfalls, and mountain views
Machu Picchu: Hatun Inti Boutique Hotel in Aguas Calientes, beside the Urubamba River
Are meals included?
Most meals are included, especially during the retreat portion at Raíces Inkas. The opening and
farewell dinners in Cusco are included; other meals in cities will be at your own choice.
Is the food suitable for special diets?
Yes. Meals at the retreat centre are organic, locally sourced, and designed to support spiritual
work. Please inform us of any dietary requirements when booking.
RETREAT EXPERIENCE
What kind of activities and ceremonies are included?
Despacho ceremony with Q’ero elders
Shamanic workshops and embodiment practices
Huachuma (San Pedro cactus) ceremony
Temazcal (sweatlodge) & Florida water blessing
Visits to sacred sites (Tipón, Moray, Pisac, Machu Picchu)
Optional Huayna Picchu hike
Integration circles and reflection sessions
Is participation in plant medicine ceremonies optional?
Yes. All ceremonial work is guided safely and respectfully, and participation is voluntary
Are there any preparation sessions before the trip?
Yes. Two weeks before departure, Beáta will host a 90-minute online preparation session. There
will also be a 90-minute post-retreat integration session two weeks after returning home, plus
two bonus webinars.
MACHU PICCHU & ADVENTURE OPTIONS
Will we visit Machu Picchu?
Yes – a full-day guided visit is included, along with an optional hike to Huayna Picchu (subject to
limited timed permits)
Do I need to be fit?
Moderate fitness is recommended. The itinerary allows for rest and acclimatisation, and gentle
alternatives are offered for more challenging hikes.
