Song of the Andes Peru - Flipbook - Page 10
Video introduction with Beáta Alföldi and David Tejada
David Tejada is a ceremonial guide and healer from Peru’s Sacred Valley, dedicated to sharing
the living Andean wisdom of reciprocity, respect and right relationship with the land. In
despacho ceremonies, David invites communities to make beautiful, prayer-filled offerings
that harmonise the elements and honour the Apus (mountain spirits) and Pachamama
(Mother Earth).
He also offers cleansing floral baths and coca-leaf guidance, always framing ritual within
practical teachings you can carry into daily life—gratitude practices, protection rites, and ways
to listen to the landscape.
David leads groups on pilgrimages across the Valley—Moray’s agricultural circles, Pisac’s
terraces, and the pathways around Machu Picchu—so participants can feel the teachings in
place as well as in circle.
Known for his calm presence and careful preparation, he creates safe, inclusive space for
visitors from many cultures while remaining faithful to local customs. David collaborates with
retreat centres, facilitators and communities committed to ethical cultural exchange and the
protection of sacred sites.
